A Golfskin™ is programmed using Keyhole Markup Language (KML) and is a mashup of some if not all of the following features and content:


Google EarthDefault Google Earth geo-accurate terrain and mapping systems for geo-referenced navigation.3D Models3D Models – Examples include clubhouse and other architectural structures, trees, foliage, avatars, golf carts, flags, and event based models such as sponsor tents and leader boards.
OverlaysOverlays – Hi Res satellite imagery optimized for performance on Google Earth.
POIPOI – Points of Interest – Customizable and clickable icons are used to enable popups within Google Earth. Great for showcasing course highlights and organizing layers of useful and entertaining information. The following can be directly linked to and from the 3D environment:
VideoVideo – Embedded flash video or hyperlinks to video pages360 Panoramics360° Panoramics – Hi-Res 360° views of selected locations such as tees, fairways and greens
PicturesPictures – Found inside or links to galleriesVector OutlinesVector outlines – outlines of sand traps, water hazards, course fairways and greens.
Low AerialsLow Aerials – Videos or Pictures found inside or linked to galleriesToursTours – automated flythrough tours of the golf course
